Global Humanitarian Expeditions

Global Humanitarian Expeditions is an international volunteer organization based in the United States . We send over 500 volunteers annually to Asia, South America and the West Indies where they have the chance to help local people while being immersed in another culture.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization without religious affiliation, we work in partnership with nonprofit organizations, orphanages and schools around the world to identify, create, implement and maintain humanitarian projects in the countries where we serve.

Volunteers work in concert with local people to create, implement and maintain humanitarian projects in health care, education and community empowerment for the purpose of preserving and facilitating autonomy and improved quality of life of indigenous peoples. Volunteers have the opportunity to be an active part of creating action plans with community elders to develop long-term programs in education, health care (including oral hygiene) and community development.

Our volunteer humanitarian projects also offer the opportunity for local people to be paid for their work, while learning a viable trade to help assure future employability and autonomy. In addition, our projects support local communities by providing ongoing vitamin supplements, clothing and medicine to the schools and orphanages in the areas where we send volunteers.
