Global Humanitarian Expeditions (GHE) is a non-profit volunteer service organization that connects volunteers with organizations around the world to provide humanitarian assistance in a variety of global locations: Nicaragua, Guatemala, Ecuador, India, Vietnam, Nepal and the Gulf Coast of the US.

Volunteers work side by side with local people to develop, implement and maintain humanitarian projects which help preserve and facilitate autonomy and improved quality of life for indigenous peoples. Projects range from dental care, to education to community empowerment.

In the past six years of operation, GHE's volunteers have served more then 23,000 children with continuing care. It is the children that make the experience so special! They approach every interaction with joy and gratitude and thrive on the individual attention that they receive from our volunteers.

Guatemala Project

Our first dental project in Guatemala was an amazing success thanks to our Guatemalan partners, The Behrhorst Foundation, the hard work of our sister organization, HDRP and a wonderful group of dedicated volunteers. In five short days we treated 316 children and provided $94,670 worth of donated dental care. On days off we had a grand time climbing volcanoes, visiting coffee plantations and taking in local life in the enchanting ancient capital of Antigua.

If you are thinking of joining our project in Guatemala in July 2008, please don’t delay in contacting our office for an application. (See the attached schedule for exact dates).
