Our humanitarian efforts would not be
successful without partner organizations which assist us in identifying
needs and handle all of the project efforts in country.
Himalayan Dental Relief Project:
FOn all of our Dental, Vaccination and Share With Kids projects in
Asia we work closely with The Himalayan Dental Relief Project (HDRP).
HDRP is a charitable 501(c)3 organization based in the US and Kathmandu
. HDRP locates clinic sites, including orphanages and schools in Nepal
and India and provides all equipment and supplies to operate mobile
dental clinics.
HDRP also assists us in our vaccination projects as
well as our Share With Kids programs by identifying children in need.
In addition, HDRP is responsible for hiring local people to staff
all of our projects in Nepal and India.
East Meets West Foundation:
The mission of East Meets West is to partner with the people of Vietnam
to improve their health, education and economic conditions in an effort
to eradicate poverty and to help them achieve self-sufficiency. A
Vietnam based NGO, the organization conducts humanitarian relief programs
in Danang and the provinces of Quang Tri and Quang Ngai, to provide
quality programs for enhancing the education and health of children,
building and renovating vital institutions (schools, hospitals, medical
clinics) and developing clean, safe water systems for home and agricultural
use.
East Meets West acts as the local liaison for all
of our projects in Vietnam . They identify villages in need and are
instrumental in organizing our project efforts from the ground up.
Namlo International
Namlo's Mission is to help people of developing
countries help themselves through education and grassroots programs
while providing an opportunity for US students to learn about global
issues and experience the joy of helping others. GHE works with Namlo
to provide volunteers to their education and school building projects
in Nicaragua and Nepal.
Shree Mangal
Dvip Boarding School:
Founded to meet the needs of children from the remote Himalayas where
there are no schools, SMD provides education to more than 440 children.
SMD is unique in Nepal in addressing the needs of a forgotten people.
GHE works closely with SMD for all of our projects
in Nepal . They donate space for our clinics and act as a liaison
between our organization and orphanages in the Kathmandu valley that
may benefit from assistance by our volunteers.
The dZi Foundation
The dZi Foundation develops sustainable programs that positively impact
individuals and communities located primarily within the Himalayan
region. Focused in the areas of education, health and welfare, its
programs are designed to serve within the existing social framework,
maintaining particular sensitivity to local culture and tradition.
GHE works with the dZi foundation for all of our projects
in Ladakh and Sikkim . They help to fund projects, identify communities
in need and are instrumental in organizing all of our project efforts
in India .
The Behrhorst Foundation
The Behrhorst Foundation has been working in
the Mayan highlands of Guatemala for the past 40 years. They work
with 60 villages in the municipality of San Martin Jilotepeque. In
addition to operating a hospital in Chimaltanango to serve the needs
of Mayans, they also have satellite programs throughout the highlands
which help to provide much needed care to those not in geographic
reach of a hospital.
GHE works closely with Behrhorst to identify populations in the Guatemala
highlands in need of dental care. They orchestrate many of the logistics
needed to successfully set up and operate the mobile clinics where
our volunteers work.
